Privacy Policy

Effective October 10, 2026

Guardian Care of Charleston (“Guardian Care,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the forms on it. It does not replace the separate notices you receive when you become a client, which cover health information in more detail.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us:

  • Consultation and contact requests: your name, phone number, email, the county you live in, who needs care, the kind of care you are interested in, and anything you write in the message box.
  • Job applications: your name, contact information, address, work eligibility, driving and transportation details, resume, typed signature, and any voluntary equal-opportunity disclosures you choose to provide.
  • Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, used to keep the site secure and working.

Please do not include medical details, diagnoses, medication lists, or insurance numbers in website forms. We gather that information privately during your consultation.

How we use it

  • To respond to your consultation or contact request and schedule a visit.
  • To review job applications and contact applicants.
  • To operate, secure, and improve this website.
  • To meet legal and reporting obligations, including equal-opportunity reporting.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and the business (for example, website hosting and database providers), and only as needed to do that work. We may also share information when required by law or to protect the safety of a client, caregiver, or the public.

Voluntary equal-opportunity disclosures

Gender, race/ethnicity, and military status on the job application are optional. They are stored separately from the hiring review, are not shown to hiring staff, and are used only for compliance reporting.

How long we keep it

Consultation and contact requests are kept as long as needed to serve you and for our business records. Job applications are kept for the period required by employment law and then deleted. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), subject to legal retention requirements.

Security

Information submitted through this site is encrypted in transit and stored with a hosting provider that encrypts data at rest. Access is limited to authorized Guardian Care staff. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function (for example, to keep office staff signed in). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You may ask to see, correct, or delete the information you gave us by contacting us at info@guardiancareofcharleston.com or (843) 456-3569.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do.
